Inicial meeting of the Project group DCAF/BP
The first meeting within the project Standardization and systemization of technical equipment of the Border police of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting brought together the Project group members, high level officials of the Ministry of Interior of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Representative of the Embassy of the Switzerland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Swiss Police attache to Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meeting, the participants were introduced to the project modalities, the intended outcomes, and foreseen work methodology. Following the presentations given by the representatives of the Bosnian Border Police, the participants engaged in group work, discussing the elements of standardisation and systemisation for each of the six thematic areas, namely, the Standards for Risk Analysis, Organisation and HR, Mobility, Real-estate, Border Checks and Border surveillance equipment, and ICT/GIS.
The experts additionally identified the required documentation (existing legislation, standards, equipment manifold...) and specified the required activities for review of existing state, and subsequent preparation of standards and systemisation.
