Field training activity to enhance the capacities of PCCCs

A week-long field training activity brought together experts from the Western Balkan Region with aim to practically demonstrate the findings of the DCAF Ljubljana drafted recommendations on enhancement of information exchange among the PCCCs.

Between 28 September and 1 October 2021 an expert-level field training activity took place in Slovenia, organised in cooperation with the Slovenian Police. The activity brought together 16 participants from 5 beneficiaries with aim to practically demonstrate the operational capacities of Police and Customs Cooperation Centres Thörl-Maglern and the PCCC Dolga vas, to discuss the operational shortcomings and aspects relating to efficient information exchange. 

In sight of the DCAF Ljubljana-prepared recommendations on enhancement of information excahgne among the PCCCs, the activity provided the participants with first-hand practical insight into operational challenges of information exchange among the PCCCs. The activity, which was structured on a "problem-solution" concept actively engaged the participants in identification of both challenges faced as well as on forming of possibilites on overcoming them.
